Applying for Financial Aid (Graduate Students)

Step 1

Complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FASFA) for the appropriate year. Whittier College requires any student who wishes to receive federal or state funded financial aid to complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA).

There are three ways to complete the FAFSA:

  • Apply online at www.fafsa.ed.gov. Applying online is safe and secure and will provide you with online edits to assist you in the completion of your FAFSA. You must apply for a Personal Identification Number (PIN) to sign the FAFSA electronically. Whittier College's school code is #001342.

OR

  • You can obtain a paper FAFSA by calling the Federal Student Aid Information Center (FSAIC) toll-free at 800-4-FED-AID. If you complete a paper FAFSA, make sure your application is error-free and contains your signature. Whittier College's school code is #001342.

OR

  • You can apply via the new Phone Program designed to help students who do not have access to a computer to complete their FAFSA online.
