Backpack-to-Briefcase (B2B) workshops present students with the opportunity to connect with successful and seasoned alumni to receive mentorship, learn and develop practical career skills, and to investigate traditional and not-so-traditional career paths.
Discussions at each session center around diverse career options and paths in a variety of professional fields, and broach topics such as how to choose a "relevant" major; critical professional skills development to find and secure that first job; and the true benefits of internship/work experience during the undergraduate years.
In 2012, Whittier College's Backpack-to-Briefcase Series was honored with a Gold Award from the Council for the Advancement and Support of Education (CASE).
Alumni who participate in the program hail from a wide variety of industries and career progression. Click here to read more about our past alumni panelists.
