Tutor

Qualifications: Minimum 3.0 overall GPA; willingness to help others learn; must have strong desire to assist peers and the ability to effectively communicate information on an individual basis; junior or senior standing preferred; faculty recommendation required in subject you wish to tutor in.

Supplemental Instructor Tutor

Qualifications: Minimum 3.25 overall GPA; B+ or higher grade earned in SI course; willingness to help others learn; must have strong desire to assist peers and the ability to effectively communicate information in a group setting; junior or senior standing preferred; faculty recommendation required in subject you wish to tutor in.

Peer Academic Coach

Gain valuable career experience and earn national mentor certification.
Qualifications: Minimum 3.25 overall GPA; mentoring experience; willingness to help others learn; must have strong desire to assist peers and ability to effectively train peers in study skills, time management, and organizational skills; sophomore, junior or senior standing; faculty recommendation required.

Student Manager

Gain valuable work experience and learn about academic support!
Qualifications: Strong interpersonal and organizational skills; positive attitude and willingness to help others; previous leadership experience desired.

Summer Peer Advisor

Support the advising office in registering new students for their academic classes. Peer Advisors will work with new students and parents in educating them of the resources at Whittier and welcoming them to the College.
Qualifications: Minimum cumulative GPA of 2.75; Strong desire to assist students; strong interpersonal skills; knowledge of Whittier resources and academic requirements; reliable and patient; comfortable making and answering phone calls.
