How to Apply (International Students)

Whittier College exclusively accepts the Common Application, which can be accessed at; the application is $50.

To apply, you will need to complete the following steps:

  1. Request a recommendation from a recent or current teacher. While you may also include recommendations from alumni, coaches, employers, or other individuals, you must submit at least one purely academic recommendation.
  2. Submit the school report form (counselor/guidance) evaluation.
  3. Request a Secondary School Report from your college or guidance counselor.
  4. Submit test results. Request that your SAT I (Code #4952) or ACT (Code #0480) results be sent to the College.
  5. Submit test results for the TOEFL, IELTS, or iTEP exams. Exemptions may apply.
  6. Complete and submit the Whittier College International Financial Certification.
