Dr. Sonia GonzalezProfessor Sonia Gonzalez has taught all levels of Spanish courses for heritage and foreign learners, language, grammar, culture, composition and conversation. She was awarded the Excellence in Teaching Award by Purdue University after establishing a Spanish for heritage speakers program with intermediate and advance Spanish levels. She believes it is important to engage with the wider Latino/a community, and finds the representation of Hispanics at Whittier College impressive.
