About the George Allen Fitness Center

Whether a student wants to work a circuit training program, participate in a session of tai-chi or yoga, bike a few miles on one of the stationery cycles, or build muscle in our state-of-the-art weight room, the George Allen Fitness Center is a resource where members of our community can each find the fitness choice that best suits their disposition. The athletic teams train here, as do the rest of our staff and student body, drawn to the Cybex strength systems, free weight stations, aerobics equipment, and dance studio. Refurbished in the summer of 2007, the Center now also offers two flat-panel TVs and cable to entertain visitors.

Additionally, four outdoor tennis courts provide an opportunity for students and faculty alike to blow off steam, Bonham Track is available for the runner, jogger, or speed-walker, and the Slade Aquatics Center stands ready for swimming laps and diving.
