Poet-to-Poet Seminar
A component of the Freshman Writing Seminar, the Poet-to-Poet Seminar is a discussion-based seminar run by the peer mentor and peer tutor, covering content that will help with students’ transition and academic success in College.
The curriculum includes workshops on time management, study skills, building academic relationships and advising. In addition the Poet-to-Poet Seminar is also used as a time for first-year students to meet with their peer tutor to receive support with their writing. This seminar is held in the evenings in the Living-Learning classrooms, located in the students’ residence hall.
