Poet Online Community

Welcome to the Whittier College Poet Online Community! This brand-new service is intended to help you stay connected with one another and with the College community. Here, you’ll find news and event listings, message boards, a place to post class notes and photographs, and a convenient way to look up old classmates or network with newfound colleagues - and that’s just for starters. We anticipate that in the near future, we’ll be expanding this site to include other avenues of interest and exchange between our members, and we are excited to have you aboard for this inaugural effort!

We hope you will enjoy using this feature, and that you’ll encourage your fellow Poets to register and regularly submit information. If you have any questions about how to use the community, if you have concerns about our confidentiality and privacy policies, or if you have suggestions for how we can make this an even better experience for all our Poet alumni, please do not hesitate to give us a call at 562.907.4222, or drop us an e-mail, alumni@whittier.edu.

To access the Online Community, click here.

  • Registered members should click on the LOGIN link located at the top left corner of the webpage. This will take you to the login page, where you will be prompted to enter your User ID and Password in the prompt boxes.
  • First-time users should click on the FIRST TIME LOGIN link that appears on the top left corner of the webpage. You will be directed to a page titled "Account Lookup"; to complete registration, please follow the steps listed below in "Instructions for First-time Login."

INSTRUCTIONS FOR FIRST-TIME LOG-IN

1. Once you are on the webpage titled "Account Lookup," you will see a prompt for “Last Name.” Type your current last name into the text box, and click on “Find” (located below the Last Name prompt).

2. You will now be taken to an alphabetized list of names that should include your own. Find your name, and click the circle (radio button) to its immediate left. Click on “Next” (located at the bottom of the page). NOTE: IF YOU DO NOT SEE YOUR NAME IN THIS LIST, PLEASE CONTACT THE OFFICE OF ALUMNI RELATIONS FOR ASSISTANCE (562.907.4222).

3. You will now be prompted for an ID number. A unique, eight-digit, letter-number ID has been assigned specifically to you, and appears on the envelope carrying the PRESIDENT’S LETTER TO ALUMNI. Your unique ID is located above your name/address on the envelope. (Hint: there is a “WC” somewhere in that string of numbers/letters). Fill in the ID prompt, and click “Verify.” NOTE: IF YOU ARE UNABLE TO LOCATE YOUR UNIQUE ID, PLEASE CONTACT THE OFFICE OF ALUMNI RELATIONS FOR ASSISTANCE (562.907.4222).

4. You will now be taken to an initial registration form, where you will be asked to complete required fields - such as update current contact information, set your new password and preferences, and agree to our Poet Online Community Terms & Conditions.

5. Once you have complete and submit the online form, you will now be registered to use the online community. You may submit class notes, edit your profile, search our online directory for fellow classmates, and join our discussion boards. Returning users can log-in directly by clicking on the “LOGIN” link (located in the upper-left corner of the Online Community webpage). Enjoy!
