Whittier Near You
High School Visits
Each year our admission counselors fly, drive, bus, train, or walk to an average of 550 individual high schools throughout the country to meet with prospective applicants and to talk about what to expect from the Whittier College experience. And, if you've already corresponded with our office prior to our travel, we'll do our best to notify you when we'll be visiting a nearby school or area, so that we can meet face-to-face, and answer any questions you may have.
Road Interviews
If you are unable to attend one of our planned school visits due to inconvenient distance or travel logistics, we will make every effort to coordinate an individual "on the road" interview with you, during our counselors' normal travel schedule. Please contact the admission counselor for your area to make arrangements.
College Fairs
Annually, our admission staff and alumni volunteers participate in approximately 150 college fairs around the United States, representing Whittier College. Please consult with your school's college / career or transfer center to see if Whittier is covering a fair near you!
Regional Receptions
Each spring, the Office of Admission offers a number of informal receptions in the Western Region, a chance for prospective students and their families to meet with Whittier faculty, current students, or other local alumni, in addition to an admission counselor. Dates and locations for Spring 2009 will be set in February.
