International Students

Welcome to the Whittier College International Student webpage

We are confident that Whittier College can offer you the most comprehensive four-year private liberal-education in the beautiful Los Angeles/Orange County area. Nestled minutes from the Pacific Ocean and Southern California’s stunning mountain ranges, Whittier College provides unlimited opportunities for its students. From our small discussion based classes (avg. class size = 17), to our Faculty Master Homes (professors living side by side with students), Whittier College offers a close-knit, community based way of learning.

At Whittier, we don’t politely tolerate individual differences. Instead, we embrace them. Diversity is a reality here - not only in terms of creeds and colors, but in thoughts, passions, and actions as well. Our students love it that way.

Among our 1,300 students are individuals from Sri Lanka and Seattle, Mauritius and Minneapolis, and Bulgaria and Boston. In all, more than 30 states and 15 countries are represented in our student body. Few Whittier students fit stereotypes; fewer still would want to.

This page is designed to answer your questions, provide you with information, and give you access to the forms you need to apply, to tuition deposit, and much more.

"My favourite part of Whittier is how far my professors went to make class special. My Third World Novel class actually met in our professor’s home. He made a fresh pot of coffee from beans sent by his friend in Costa Rica, and we sat in a living room to discuss literature. It couldn’t have felt more authentic" - Ilina Faruque (London)
