Chamber Ensemble Competition

I am pleased to announce the inaugural year of the Whittier College Chamber Ensemble Competition. Chamber ensembles of 3-6 members are encouraged to submit postmarked application materials by Monday, March 2, 2009, to be considered for inclusion in the competition. It will be held on April 24-25, 2009, at the Ruth B. Shannon Center for the Performing Arts, located on the campus of Whittier College.

This program provides students an opportunity to explore the musical challenges and joys inherent in the study and performance of chamber music. Our goal is to promote its value by featuring semi-finalists and finalists in performance before a live audience that includes an outstanding panel of adjudicators.

Winners will be announced immediately following the finals concert on April 25, 2009. Please review the required application and award information linked below. We look forward to hearing your students soon...
