Content-Specific and Developmentally Appropriate Pedagogy

Overview
There are multiple versions of this task depending on whether you are a Multiple Subject (elementary) candidate or a Single Subject (secondary) candidate. In addition, Single Subject candidates respond to versions in their specific content area. All versions contain four different scenarios:
Scenario 1 requires that teacher candidates describe strategies and activities that address the learning goals and developmental needs of the students.
Scenario 2 focuses on an analysis assessment practices.
Scenario 3 involves adapting content-specific pedagogy for English learners.
Scenario 4 entails adapting content-specific pedagogy for students with special needs.

Worksheets
There are six content versions of this task available: one for Multiple Subjects candidates, and one each for Single Subject candidates in English/Language Arts, History/Social Science, Mathematics, and Science. You must complete the worksheet that matches your content area.

Examples
Your completed papers will be scored on a scale from 1 to 4, with 4 being the highest and 1 being the lowest. The following are completed and scored examples of papers submitted to fulfill the requirements of the SSP task.
