Application Deadlines

Application deadlines for admission are accepted on a rolling basis. The deadline for classes which begin in the fall is September 1, in the spring is February 1, and in the summer is May 15.

Admission Requirements

To be considered for admission, applicants will need to submit the following documents and meet the following minimum standards:

  • Completed Whittier College application for admission Teacher Credential and Masters program including $60 application fee
  • B.A. or B.S. from an accredited institution
  • Transcripts of all college work
  • Minimum of 2.8 GPA in the last 60 graded units
  • A personal statement of purpose
  • 2-4 Letters of Recommendation
  • Passage of CBEST (California Basic Educational Skills Test)
  • Meeting of standards described in the department document, Standards For Admission To, Advancement In, And Completion Of Teaching Programs
  • Interview with program faculty before admission
